"I think the deal is [Tantawi and Anan] get a safe exit, and they hand the country to the Muslim Brotherhood," says Mamdouh Hamza, a prominent businessman and pro-democracy advocate. "Because quite honestly, if we apply the same law [to the generals] that we applied to Mubarak's family, Tantawi would be behind bars."

While You Were Watching Other News, There Was a Coup in Egypt and the Muslim Brotherhood Now Controls Everything
It's just shocking how quickly Egypt has been taken over by the enemy. The military was the only thing standing between and Muslim Brotherhood and dictatorship and it looks like they have been swept away. Both the Defense Minister Tantawi and Army Chief of Staff Anan were "fired" by Muslim Brotherhood President Morsi in what looks like a negotiated exit to save the military men and their families from Muslim Brotherhood retribution.
