There were 66% More Homicides in Chicago in 2012 Than KIA's in Afghanistan

I heard a politician mention that more Americans are killed in Chicago than Afghanistan and I automatically thought it had to be wrong, that they were exaggerating.  Shockingly, they were completely correct.  Last year there were 516 homicides in Chicago but only 310 US servicemen killed in action in Afghanistan.  Even at the peak of violence in Afghanistan in 2010, we still lost less people (499) than we lost in Chicago last year. That is pretty shocking considering we are facing armed guerrillas in Afghanistan that are actively trying to kill Americans.  Looks like the urban policies of the Democrats are more lethal than RPG's and IED's.
