More Criminal Negligence in the Embassy Attacks: The US Had 48 Hour Warning of an Impending Attack

This fiasco just keeps getting worse all the time.  How exactly did they leave a consulate unprotected by Marines after receiving 48 hour warning of a possible attack on a diplomatic mission on 9/11?:

According to senior diplomatic sources, the US State Department had credible information 48 hours before mobs charged the consulate in Benghazi, and the embassy in Cairo, that American missions may be targeted, but no warnings were given for diplomats to go on high alert and "lockdown", under which movement is severely restricted.

The whole fiasco is such a major embarrassment for the entire country and our international prestige is plummeting.  Instead of helping our standing, Obama has reversed all the progress we have made since the Carter administration.  Once again we look weak, impotent and incompetent.
