I know I just posted the latest Iowa poll results, but just remember to take them all with a grain of salt. A caucus takes hours of commitment which may not be captured correctly in a poll, hence you tend to get more upsets with them than with straight primaries. Iowa voters tend to vote more for the folks that seem to take their state seriously so I thought I would post the candidate tracker from the Des Moines Register:
Looks like Rick Santorum is still trying to go with an IA strategy (though it didn't help him last time). Perry, Jindal and Huckabee are also putting in quite a bit of time and maybe if they have enough funding could pull off an upset (imagine if that happens, considering 2 of the 3 were just at the kiddy table debate?). Anyway, it's nice to see Carly Fiorina taking the state seriously, she will need to finish in the top 1 or 2 in IA, NH and/or SC to have a chance. What's interesting is that Trump, Bush and Kasich are all basically MIA from the state. Trump probably feels he can get enough attention through national media but Iowans really go for guys cooking them breakfast so he could be dooming himself. Bush might be using that tried and true (false?) Florida strategy of Giuliani and the same might go for Rubio though I am not sure which state he can actually win (maybe South Carolina?).
